about

This song is the story of Odin, the Norse God. He gave one eye in exchange of all the knowledge of past, present and future. His two ravens fly around the world everyday and return to perch on his shoulder at night to tell him of all that has happened.

lyrics

At dawn light struck shore
as I waited for a sign
Blinding your vision
Scorching my mind
You are everywhere
And in everything

There he offered me a world of wisdom
Power unrestrained
For so small a price, the world shakes

For who knows how much an eye is worth?
Who knows the prise of sleep?
Of rest, that never more you taste
for knowlegde is ever repeating

while two ravens circle above

So take these muscles and these bones
and use them elsewhere
for a life more content with its lot than mine

while two ravens circle above
drag them through the briar
give red to the roses
feed the garden
for I am but some ghost.
